Tim Buckley is a highly experienced physiotherapist whose 20-year career has been dedicated to helping people perform at their best, from everyday patients and recreational athletes, through to elite ballet dancers, circus artists and professional musicians.
As one of only two full-time physiotherapists with The Australian Ballet from 2006 to 2008, Tim supported dancers in Australia and on international tours throughout China, England and France. In 2009, Tim joined Cirque du Soleil where he remained until very recently. During this time, he embarked on a global career that included touring through Japan, North America and South America with productions including Corteo, Quidam and Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities, before taking on senior leadership roles at the company’s international headquarters in Montréal.
A recognised leader in his field, Tim has also presented at International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) conferences in both Australia and the United States.
Now joining Absolute Physiotherapy, Tim treats elite performers, athletes and everyday patients, combining world-class experience with a practical, personalised approach to help people recover from injury, move with confidence and perform at their best. His experience in high-performance environments allows him to bring the same level of care and attention to every patient who walks through the door.
Outside the clinic, Tim is a proud father of three energetic children and enjoys running, travel, and playing guitar and piano.
